Hello and welcome to my 7 Figure Code Journey.

When Mike Filsaime mailed out to all active affiliates of his products in late june about promoting the 7 Figure Code, I decided to give it a try.

I have had some success promoting for a few other products the past 6 months, but I have never tried to promote any “big ticket” products. The method I have used to generate traffic at launches before has been using Google Adwords. Most of the times I have managed to generate a fair number of sales, but the cost was high, barely breaking even.

This time I knew that the competition would be fierce and the cost probably exceeding any profit I could make, but I decided to try it anyway, just to prove to myself that I could sell a big ticket item.

This was my promotion site: http://the7figurecoderevealed.info

At first I didn’t know the actual content of the product, but as launch approached and it became clear what it was all about, I decided that I even wanted to get it myself. Since it was being sold using PayDotCom, I could not get a “discount” by buying through my own link, so I checked out the bonuses of the other promoters and found that the bonus offered by Rob Benwell suited me best. He offered among other things some case studies, one which was how he developed and launched Blogging to the Bank 2.0.

Launch time on the 7-7-7 was very early in the morning, Danish time, and I got up even earlier (having slept only a few hours) to listen in on a teleconference held by Gary Ambrose and the launch team the hour before launch.

As you probably heard, the launch went less than smoothly and the servers had a very rough time in the first few hours. Even so, I was very quick to place my order and actually managed to snatch copy number 6 of the product!

I was very happy to be one of the fastest movers, as I got _all_ the fast action bonuses :-) The most important bonus was a digital copy of the Butterfly Marketing course and script! YES! I just saved $1497. How cool is that!

And another VERY important fast action bonus was the option to purchase a VIP ticket for only $77 to the World Internet Main Event, that’s going down in San Francisco on september 13th to 16th. I had long planned to go to an Internet Marketing seminar this year, but I had given up this particular event since it seemed at first to be sold out (actually I found out later that it was not even being promoted yet at the time). So it didn’t take me long to decide to take that offer!

Then the sales started to trickle in, and it was exciting to see confirmed that, yes, I CAN sell a big ticket item. I managed to sell a total of 5 copies, 4 at the initial $497 price and 1 later when the 3 payment plan was introduced. At that point I had just about broken even with my Adwords expenses (not counting my own purchase). Later two of the sales were refunded - giving the whole campaign a negative ROI for me - but again, that was what I expected from the beginning, so I just took the loss with a smile and was happy with all the bonuses, which after all was way more value than the loss I had taken.

Lessons learned: Adwords is great for generating traffic and sales in a launch, but you have to watch your PPC expenses extremely carefully and be prepared to take a loss. If you want to make a profit from promoting a product during a launch, you really must use other means to generate traffic. I had already learned that lesson during earlier launches, and knew that I had to build my list. I have done that, now at about 1600 subscribers, but unfortunately I had not managed to create the kind of relationship with my subscribers that would have been necessary to generate sales of big ticket items. I can’t even sell normal price ($47-$97) items to my list :-( I think I have burned my list with too many promotions and not enough value. I have lot of repair work to do if that list is ever going to be responsive.

But I digress … Time passes, and finally, nearly a month after the launch, my copy of the 7 Figure Code finally arrives.

Now my 7 Figure Code Journey really begins.

What follows is a series of videos which documents my journey. It started with my promotion up to launch, and now it continues …

Part 1 - Unwrapping the 7 Figure Code (video).

Part 2 - Review of DVD 1 of the 7 Figure Code (coming soon).

The following parts will be more reviews of the 16 DVD’s and the 2 massive binders with the PowerPoint slides and transcripts. I will also be documenting my preparations to go to the World Internet Main Event, now only 6 weeks away, and of course I will also be making extensive coverage of the event when I get there.

Who knows, all of this might even turn out to become a product :-)

Alright, that wraps it up for now.

See you later,

Odinn Sorensen
