Duvet Dollars - Probably A Bad Name For A Great Product

Hi, I have recently learned that a yet another Internet Marketing Make Money product is about to be launched on february 28th. It is called “Duvet Dollars” and is supposedly by a woman named “Victoria” who has a secrets. Clever, huh?

As I’m writing this, the site has a pre-launch video on it. The video for “Duvet Dollars” looks quite professional and it really yanks your curiosity strings. Personally, I’ll probably buy it just to see what the fuss is about. The squeeze page on the site is also pretty good, and even the HTML code is very nicely done.
But … The NAME … “Duvet Dollars“?

The guys behind “Duvet Dollars” seems to know good sales techniques, but one thing they forgot was to do their keyword research before picking the name.

Guess what kind of sites who has all the top 10 spots locked on Google for the keyword “duvet dollars“?
(on the US google at least)

SITES WHICH SELL BED COVERS!

I’m guessing that it’s not going to be cheap to knock those sites out of the top-10 for “duvet dollars” on Adwords

And even if you want to try, who in their right mind will want to be associated with bed covers when trying to sell a “make money” internet marketing product?

So “Duvet Dollars” will probably not attract many affiliates who want to promote it using Adwords. It’s just not suited for the typical Direct Linking type of Adwords campaign that bids only on the product name.

Changing the product name from “Duvet Dollars” is too late now, so I guess they have made their bed and now have to sleep in it

What to do then? Well, there is always the classics: Write lots of articles, press releases, blog entries and forum posts on the subject of “Duvet Dollars“.

I’m trying the blog way for now, and I also have a tiny adwords campaign on the “duvet dollars” keywords. My ads show on sites outside the US, so I’m hoping to get some cheap clicks there.
Wrapping up, I have to say that I’m looking forward to seeing some more info on this product. The site says that “Only 1,000 Duvet Dollars Buyers will receive the chance to work directly with me… and receive an E-mail Consultation Voucher… I will send you Immediate Notice when the Duvet Dollars website is LIVE.”.

Well, I got one of the those spots locked. Looks like I’ll get some previews of the material as one of the first to sign up. I plan on posting a review when I get it.
