Odinn Sorensen Is Going To The World Internet Main Event (WIME) in San Francisco

The World Internet Main Event happens in just a few days in San Francisco from september 13th to 16th.

This will be the first-ever Internet Marketing event that I’m going to, and I am very excited to be meeting a lot of people that I have gotten to know though my internet marketing activities the past year. In particular, I am thrilled to be meeting Stephanie Mulac and her family there.

My journey to WIME start september 11th in Copenhagen Airport at 6:40 AM danish time, and I will be on no less than 3 airplanes on the way “over there” … the entire journey on the date 9/11 … kind of adds to the excitement, doesn’t it? :-)

I will be staying at the Pacific Tradewinds hostel for the duration of my stay in San Francisco, which will be until early morning september 22nd.

On september 12th, I’m looking forward to meeting up with Paulie Sabol and the other guys to help with setting up the event, and a bunch of other early arrivals like Melvin Ng, Vince Tan, Jason Moffatt and Frank Bauer at the hotel pool, as discussed in this Warrior Forum thread.

I will also be having my professional marketing photos taken by Mary Mazzullo of Seminar Photography. That’s going to be awesome! :-)

What will I be doing at the event? NETWORKING!

If you don’t know already, the main purpose of great Internet Marketing events is actually the networking that takes place. The opportunities for making Joint Ventures is huge, not just with big name marketers, but it’s also a great way to form friendships, alliances and JV’s with “regular guys” like yourself if you are just starting out, but need specific qualified individuals like perhaps a graphics specialist, an SEO expert, traffic guy, list builder, webmaster etc., etc.

So I will be going around getting to know people and finding ways to do business and JV’s for the future. I am absolutely certain that I will be able to look back at this event and see the final breakthrough in my quest to become a full-time Internet Marketer in 2008.

I’m a good listner as well as a great troubleshooter, pattern finder and idea generator. I’m also pretty good at PHP and perl programming and website design, and do decent graphics work. I have been told that I do good promotion emails (I try to write them myself if I have the time, or at least add my own twist to pre-written mails). I’m usually doing pretty good on the JV Giveaways, with my self-made gift the Aqua Power Buttons on the first or second page and sometimes even in the number 1, 2 or 3 spot as on the current Ultimate Graphics Giveaway :-)

For references, ask Todd Gross of Free Monthly Gift or Stephanie Mulac. Several other marketers, particularly on giveaways, are also beginning to take notice. Personally I was pleasantly surprised to find myself on IM Newsbox the other day, in the company of lots of big name gurus! :-) I have no clue how I got on that list, but I’m not complaining!

Soon I will be introducing myself on the new JV Submitter and JV Notify Pro as well, so watch out for that.

If you are going to WIME as well, or if you just happen to be in San Francisco between september 11th and 21st, just drop me an email and let’s meet up and have a talk about whatever is on your mind.

During the event, I’ll try to keep my blog updated daily with news and pictures of the event, perhaps even video clips.

Alright, that’s it for now. If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m only an email away :-)

Best regards,
Odinn Sorensen

P.S. As you may have noted from earlier posts of mine, I bought the 7 Figure Code in july, and I have learned a lot from watching the 16 DVD set. The most important realization being that I really need to find my “Hedgehog Concept” – What I can be the best in the world at (and not least what I cannot), what I am deeply passionate about and what drives my economical engine. I think I am closing in on what my hedgehog concept might be, but more about that in a future post.
